Wherever Elks may roam, whatever their lot in life may be, all Elks are welcome at the Rapid City Elks Lodge.
The Rapid City Elks Lodge 1187 has been around since 1910. The Lodge moved from it’s downtown location in 1963 to it’s present location on the east edge of Rapid City. The Lodge gained a nine hole golf course for it’s members, and a outstanding facility. It has since added another nine holes to complete a back nine. The Black Hills of South Dakota is one of the most beautiful places on earth east of the Rockies, and Rapid City is nestled in the foothills of the eastern slopes. The Hills offer so many scenic views it is hard to take them in on one visit. It is the home of a National Treasure, Mount Rushmore a must see if you are in the Hills. So when you are planning a trip to the Black Hills, or if it’s just on your route as you travel across the Heartland. Please stop by and rest a spell. You just may experience what so many other visiting Elks have, and go away saying, ” WOW, what a great Lodge you have here, we will be back again”.
