History of RC Elks 1187

The Rapid City Elks Lodge 1187 was founded on July 15 1910.

Centennial Celebration July 17, 2010

Mark July 17 on your Calendar and come out and celebrate the beginning of Rapid City Lodge 1187. There well be fun and games for all!
We’ve added a new aspect to our anniversary observance combining the vintage and the new in a gun raffle ...
The New is a Stoeger 12 gauge, over and under and the Vintage is a Winchester 270 with scope.
Tickets are $5 each or a
book of six (6) for $25
The drawing will be on the evening
of the celebration ... the first ticket drawn will have his or her choice of the rifle or the shotgun.

We Celebrated the signing of the Lodge’s Charter on February 17
On Feb. 17 we had a wonderful evening at the Lodge, revisiting the
older days with outstanding steaks with all the trimmings, organized and
served by PERs Brett Sutton, Len Crandall and our officer corps in the
lower level. We saw many faces we hadn’t seen for a long time and the stories
of the old days were really flying.
Feb. 17 marks the day 100 years ago when Grand Lodge received our charter application
